More movies. I assure you, I do do other things with my life, but not many of them worth posting as they are either mundane, irksome, or seem to me to be interesting only to me. Mostly, I'm just workin', and hangin' out when I'm not workin', and enjoying positive news in other people's lives. Okay, that's not entirely true; really, I have become a slave to my TiVo, whose role has gradually shifted from trusted-friend to overlord. No, that's not true either, the TiVo's still just my buddy and background companion. But just imagine if all the TiVos banded together and decided to take over. They totally could rule the world. What? The totally could, what with the Home Media Option and all. I bet they're in league with the toasters.
Pieces of April in 25 words or less: Somehow, its sentimental, manipultive, and over-the-top portrayal is appropriate, in this wryly funny film that embodies core ineffable truths about people and family. B+.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in 25 words or less: Maybe I would have made some slightly different choices, but overall, I was entertained and impressed by this adaptation's story, performances, look, and (especially) details. A-.
