Through the generosity of a friend, I got the opportunity to see an advance screening of Charlie Wilson's War, which is the Aaron Sorkin/Mike Nichols film being released next week about the US's clandestine war in Afghanistan.
Charlie Wilson's War in 25 words or less: Successfully shines a light on genuine moral ambiguity without aggrandizing or condemning it. (Simplifying it, sure, but that can't be helped.) Tough, but Sorkin'. A-.
